Driver Airlifted To Hospital, Car Engulfs In Flames On I-78 In Somerset County
The three-car crash on Interstate 78 occurred on Thursday night just before the Interstate 287 merge.
BEDMINSTER, NJ — A driver was airlifted to a hospital following a three-car crash where their car because fully engulfed in flames on Interstate 78 in Somerset County on Thursday night.
On May 1 at 6:36 p.m., New Jersey State Police(NJSP_ Troopers responded to I-78 West at milepost 31.4 in Bedminster Township.
Based on a preliminary investigation, a crash occurred involving a Honda CR-V, a BMW 540, and a Kia Forte, causing the Honda to overturn and the Kia to become fully engulfed in flames, said NJSP Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron to Patch.

The driver of the Honda was airlifted to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
