Serious Accident Reported On 287, Driver Critical
The driver was taken to RWJ Hospital and New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit are still investigating the incident in Bridgewater

Bridgewater, NJ - A driver is in critical condition and police are still investigating the scene of a serious accident on Route 287 North Friday morning, according to New Jersey Sgt. Gregory Williams.
Traveling on Rt. 287 northbound around 9:20 a.m., the driver attempted to merge from the right lane to the left and crossed all the lanes when it "T-Boned" another vehicle in the left lane near exit 14B, Williams said.
The driver sustained serious injuries and at one point the driver may have been unconscious," Williams said. "Medivac was requested but the driver was taken by ground."

The driver was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Police along with NJ Department of Transportation shut down the northbound lanes at 9:49 a.m. and reopened them around noon.

New Jersey State Police Fatal Accident Unit, NJ State Police Crime Scene Investigation Unit and NJ State Police Incident Management Unit are still investigating the accident.
