Duke Island Park Reopens After Flood Damage
Here is the latest status of all parks in Somerset County as of Friday.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Duke Island Park in Bridgewater reopened on Friday after being severely damaged due to floodwaters from Tropical Storm Ida.
The Somerset County Park Commission announced the opening of the county park on Friday.

- Buck Garden – Open
- Colonial Park – Open
- Colonial Park Amenities:
- Gardens – Open
- Miniature Golf – Open (Sat & Sun only: Noon to 8p)
- Paddle Boats – Closed until further notice
- Spray Park – Open: M, W, Th, Fr 3-6p; Tues 11a-2p; Sat, Sun Noon-5p
- Tennis Courts – Open
- Duke Island Park – Open as of 1 p.m. The bathrooms will be open Saturday morning. Although, no porta-johns until Monday. The west end of the trail near the waterfall remains closed until further notice.
- East County Park – Open
- Environmental Education Center – Building is open daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Most trails are open. Please hike responsibly. Some boardwalk areas still flooded.
- Green Knoll Tennis Courts - Open
- Mountain View Park – Open
- Natirar Park – Open
- North Branch Park & Playground – Closed until further notice
- Quail Brook Playground – Open
- Skillman Park – Open
- Sourland Mountain Preserve – Open
- Torpey – Open
- Warrenbrook Pool – Closed for the season
