Election 2020: Who Is Running For Bridgewater School Board?

Six candidates are seeking seats on the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional Board of Education this coming November.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — It appears it will be a contested race for the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School Board with six candidates vying for November 2020, according to the Somerset County Clerk's Office.

Four candidates are pursuing two open three-year seats on the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School Board in including incumbent board member Barry Walker and newcomers John-Paul "JP" Levin, Jessica Levitt, and Scott Mihalick. Zachary Malek and Ann Marie Mead will not be seeking re-election.

Lucretia "Lucy" Sandler also filed a petition to run for election for the one open three-year seat for Raritan along with Chingchaun "Jean" Lee who is vying for the one open one-year unexpired seat on the regional board.

All of the candidates filed petitions for election by the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday.

Election day will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
