Electronic Access Foundation Donates Over $8,000 of Computer Equipment to Local Charities
Electronic Access Foundation (EAF) is pleased to announce that they have donated to-date in 2014 over $8,000 worth of computers and electronic equipment to local charities, including Families and Communities Together (FACT) in Mountainside, NJ, Mission Santa Maria in New York City, Project PCReNew in Rockland County, NY, and the Theophile Church in Christ in Brooklyn, NY.
“EAF is excited to help these charities and others get the computers they so desperately need,” said Ryan McFadden, executive director of EAF. “Through the generous donations of our corporate partners, we have not only helped others, but also kept unwanted equipment out of landfills,” he added.
EAF obtains donations through partnership with corporations, universities, and organizations by offering them an alternative to recycling of their surplus electronic equipment. In return for their donations, EAF offers these corporations, universities, and organizations tax deductions for the fair market value of equipment, removal of the equipment at no cost, and secure data sanitation at no cost, including hard drive-specific electronic reporting. EAF’s mission is to help end the “Digital Divide” and give everyone access to the technology that plays such an important role in today’s society.
