Elliott Beverages Renews Liquor License Despite Closure
The drive-up liquor warehouse, Elliott Beverages, may have closed but its liquor license is still in play.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The drive-up liquor warehouse, Elliott Beverages, may have closed but its liquor license is still in play.
Elliott Home Beverages, located at 573 Union Ave. in Bridgewater, renewed its liquor license with the township during its July 17 meeting after closing in March.
Richard Dilorenzo, son of the owner, said the family is selling the license and already has a prospective buyer looking to open another liquor store in its place. The sale is currently under contract.

The sale is expected to be finalized sometime in August.
Dilorenzo held memorabilia sales in July to offer locals the opportunity to own a piece of the business’ history.

Dilorenzo was sad to see the business close and pointed to competition from nearby liquor stores and Costco for the cause of its closure.
