Emergency Bridge Repairs To Close 2 Lanes On I-78 West In Bedminster

Drivers should expect heavy congestion and delays during the evening commute on Wednesday.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — Emergency bridge repairs will close two lanes on Interstate 78 West on Wednesday afternoon in Bedminster, New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced.

Beginning at about 3:30 p.m., the center and right lanes on I-78 westbound are expected to be closed after the merge with traffic from I-287.

"The closure is necessary for emergency concrete and joint repairs on the bridge over Cowperthwaite Road in Bedminster," according to NJDOT.
