Third Annual “Michelle’s "Taste of Life” Event to Benefit Young Cancer Patient

The Michelle Oliva Deady Foundation is sponsoring
its third annual memorial event to celebrate the life and work of Michelle Oliva Deady and to raise
funds to help a local cancer patient. Michelle, who was a Bridgewater-Raritan High School graduate,
lost her battle with Gardner's Syndrome and complications from cancer in 2007 at the age of 26.
This year's event will be held from 7:00–11:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2010, at the
Bridgewater Manor in Bridgewater, N.J. Guests will enjoy a buffet, cocktails, dancing, raffle baskets,
door prizes, and more. Admission is $65 and proceeds will benefit Lina Cardona, 22, who has been
battling malignant melanoma. Lina, a resident of Lake Hopatcong, loves dancing and drawing, and
was pursuing a degree in International Business at County College of Morris before being stricken
with cancer.
Last year's "Michelle's Taste of Life" event entertained over 160 guests while raising over
$15,000. The proceeds were donated to 24-year-old Rick Baiter, who is battling colon cancer and
Gardner's Syndrome.
Michelle, after obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the University of Hartford
in Connecticut, was employed as a web designer at GráficaGroup in Chester, N.J., a full-service
advertising and interactive marketing firm which has been assisting in the promotion of the annual
event. She was a talented artist with a passion for art, wine, and life.
