Social Media Threat At Bridgewater Schools Proved Not Credible By Police

Principals checked each building within the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District after a photo was posted on social media.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A potential threat posted on social media caused school officials to investigate each building within the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School district on Wednesday afternoon.

"Principals checked each building within our school district and determined that the photo posted on social media did not originate from any of our schools," said Superintendent Robert Beers in a letter to parents on Wednesday.

The social media post was reported to Bridgewater Police and was not deemed a credible threat to the school district, said Beers.
