Fatal Crash Closes Route 22 In Both Directions On Somerset County Border

READINGTON, NJ — A fatal car crash has caused all lanes on Route 22 in both directions to close on the Somerset County border on Tuesday.

Readington Police reported the crash around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8. Eastboung and westbound lanes of the highway are closed as of 3:53 p.m. between Old Highway 28 and County Line Road in Branchburg.

"Police are on scene investigating a fatal accident. Please avoid the area!!!" Readington Police said in an alert.
