Feiner Completes Final Season as DelVal's One Swimmer Team with Style
Senior earned enough points for the one-woman Del Val team to top other schools with many more swimmers at the event
Sarah Feiner of Alexandria represented Delaware Valley Regional High School at the Hunterdon-Warren-Sussex Swim Championships at Raritan Valley Community College on January 31st. Del Val’s only swimmer, the 17-year-old senior finished fifth in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:08.02 and competed in the 100 yard freestyle event, earning enough points for the one-woman Del Val team to top other schools with many more swimmers at the event. Feiner also competed for Del Val at the recent Skyland Conference Girls Swimming Championships at Montgomery High School. Feiner is pictured (center) at the recent meet with Nicole Carro (right), a Del Val teacher and coach, and Ashley Kolpan, an Alexandria Township Middle School 8th grade student who hopes to become Del Val’s one-woman team next year. Del Val does not have a formal swimming program, but Feiner has represented the school at regional meets since she competes year-round for the Hunterdon County YMCA Stingrays.
