Fire Damages 3 Bridgewater Townhouses, Displaces Family
Breaking: Bridgewater firefighters responded to a "fully-involved" townhouse on fire early Friday morning.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — An early morning fire broke out on Friday in the Vanderhaven Farm townhouse community in Bridgewater, firefighters reported.
At 7:12 a.m. on March 17, fire departments responded to a fully-involved townhouse on fire, North Branch Fire Department reported.
"Initial engine crews went to work fast, knocking quite a large fire down in less than 30 minutes. With attic extension into other units, firefighters were able to minimize fire and smoke damage to only three units, completely saving the other five in the structure," North Branch Fire Department reported.

No one was injured as the Bridgewater Police Department was able to evacuate all the units.
"Excellent work done by all, turning a very sad day for one homeowner into a bright spot for many others. Our thoughts and prayers are with this family for a speedy recovery into their home, but we are thankful there were no injuries or fatalities during this unfortunate event," North Branch posted.

Fire companies who responded included: North Branch, Green Knoll Fire Department, Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company, and Bradley Gardens Volunteer Fire Company Fast Team) along with mutual aid companies Readington Volunteer Fire Company, Finderne Fire Department, and Raritan Borough Fire Department.
