  • Robotics is the fastest growing 4-H discipline in the county. Each morning at 10 a.m., there will be a Lego Free Build, a High School Robotics Demo, a Rokenbok Remote Controlled Vehicles and Robot Spin Art.
  • Pigs will be at the fair for the first time in decades. Joining the pigs will be beef and dairy cows, sheep and goats. There will be a Beef Obstacle course at 10 a.m. and the Alpaca Agility Course at 1 p.m. The Livestock Costume Class takes place at 3 p.m. and the Goat and Sheep Obstacle Course takes the prime-time slot of 7:30 p.m.
  • The Arts and Science tent will show patrons plenty of applicable tasks like cooking and sewing, and some less utilitarian actions like double dutch, magic and drama. People can also learn about beekeeping and entomology.
  • Be sure to stop by and see the Mechanical Science Clubs as they tinker with go karts, model trains, planes and rockets.
  • Lastly, there's free parking and free shuttles that run from Raritan Community College on Route 28 in North Branch to footbridge at the entrance to the park. Buses will run from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. For parking conditions, text "Follow 4HAlerts" to "40404." Standard messaging rates apply, one presumes.
