Free Adoptions Saturday At Somerset Regional Animal Shelter
The SRAS is offering offering free adoptions for all animals over 6 months as part of the "Clear the Shelters" national adoption event.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Providing a fur buddy with a forever home will get a bit easier. The Somerset Regional Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions for all animals over 6 months and kittens under 6 months will be $50 as part of the National Clear the Shelters Event on Saturday, Aug. 17 from noon to 4 p.m.
"We are thrilled to participate in this event," said shelter manager, Brian Bradshaw.
Last year’s event ended with nearly 20 animals finding their forever families, Bradshaw added.

Currently, the shelter is overflowing with cats and kittens with more coming in each day.
"This event could not have come at a better time," says Rose Tropeano, Asst. Manager. "Our catteries are full and we have many wonderful cats and kittens that need permanent homes."
