BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Just days before her 15th birthday, Vittoria Mancino went into cardiac arrest twice.

Vittoria is the youngest daughter of Bridgewater-Raritan High School graduate and single mom Elisa Mancino. Wednesday marks Vittoria's 15th birthday.

Vittoria suffered the first cardiac arrest over the weekend and the second while at the hospital. Since then she has been transferred to different hospitals twice, said Catherine Heldt who set up a GoFundMe fundraising website for the family.

She is now being cared for at Columbia Presbyterian.

"Elisa has not left Vitta's bedside and will need to be out of work for an extended period of time," said Heldt.

Mancino's other three children Antonio, Eliana and Graziella are also commuting to the hospital in New York City daily.

Heldt set up the fundraiser to help offset the mounting costs of commuting back and forth to the city and help Mancino who is not working during this time.

"Please consider helping by providing financial support to cover expenses. Any contribution, no matter the size, is helpful and appreciated. Please consider donating and sharing this GoFundMe link. And, most of all please send your continued prayers to help support her full recovery," said Heldt.
