Ginger Is Bridgewater's Pet Of The Week

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Meet Ginger! She has been chosen as Bridgewater Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"I’d like to nominate my sweet Ginger for pet of the week, who is a 3 year old mixed breed rescue. We always say that she’s the one that rescued us. She’s kind, gentle, loves visitors and has the best temperament of any dog I’ve ever had.

Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend, never had a dog. Even though we don’t have children, she welcomed my 2 year old niece with a wagging tail and shared her toys with her happily. I’m nominating her especially since she had knee surgery and is of course moving slowly and isn’t 100 percent herself, but she still has that adorable face and is still as sweet as ever. Hoping she has a speedy recovery so I can see that little frog leg stance soon enough."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
