Girl Scouts Heart of NJ Celebrate Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthday!

Girl Scouts Event and Food Drive

Service Unit 66 and 74 of Bridgewater hosted the annual Leader/Daughter event at the GSHNJ Council in North Branch. During the event Leaders and Girls gathered to make greeting cards for Veterans, Seniors Centers and Hospitals, sang GS songs lead by special guest Lori Coleman and had a Birthday cake decorating contest! Food donations were collected and given to the Somerset County Food Bank.

“J.Low” the founder of the Girl Scouts used her innate talent for fundraising and public relations, combined with her vast network of friends and supporters, she led Girl Scouts with passion and determination—ensuring it was, and always would be, an experience that was “girl led.”

Today, Girls Scouts is alive in Bridgewater, NJ with 75 troops, over 350 Volunteers and 500 Girls working with a passion to support the local community, develop a range of skills, take on leadership roles, and just be themselves. Each Girl Scout troop creates a safe space where girls can try new things, learn one-of-a-kind leadership development program for girls, with proven results. It is based on time-tested methods and research-backed programming that help girls take the lead—in their own lives and in the world.
