Gun Violence Prevention Town Hall Planned For Malinowski Constituents

Residents can ask the Democrat about gun violence prevention legislation and share their thoughts in a virtual town hall later in June.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — As lawmakers continue to discuss gun violence prevention, Representative Tom Malinowski (D-NJ-7) will host a virtual town hall on June 27 for the New Jersey residents he represents.

"This is an opportunity for residents to share comments and ask questions related to gun violence, commonsense gun violence prevention legislation, and more," Malinowski's office said.

The town hall is Monday, June 27 from 6-7 p.m.

"This event comes as a bipartisan group of Senators released an agreement on gun safety, mental health, and school safety," Malinowski's office said. "This legislation, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, aims to enhance background checks, support state red flag laws, and disarm domestic abusers."
