Haunted Ghost Tour Headed To Downtown Somerville

The Downtown Somerville Alliance partnered with Haunted History Productions to host "Haunted Somerville" on Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — A haunted ghost tour is heading into downtown Somerville.

The Downtown Somerville Alliance (DSA) has partnered with Haunted History Productions (HHP) to offer "Haunted Somerville" on Oct. 23 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. with a rain date of Oct. 24.

"We’re excited to add this new brand of entertainment to our series of 'Spooktacular' events this Halloween," said Natalie Pineiro, Downtown Somerville Alliance, Executive Director. "Featuring equal parts of history, lore and spooky fun the tour is a perfect experience for a date night or family outing."

"Haunted Somerville" takes patrons on a stroll down Main Street in Somerville where history comes to life through the story lines created by HHP influenced by real-life events.

Over the course of eight stops around Downtown Somerville, learn about the Prohibition era, whiskey bandits, the haunted Hotel Somerset, dance legend Ruth St. Denis, the Hall-Mills trial of the century and much more. Meet the Diva of Darkness, Mistress of Madness, Keeper of the Crypts and Ghost Writer for Haunted History Productions, Miss Cookie.

The tour is appropriate for visitors of all ages. Tickets are on sale now on Eventbrite.

Tours run in 15-minute intervals and attendees are able to choose their departure time slot when registering via Eventbrite. Tickets are priced at $20 in advance and $25 on-site, children in strollers are admitted for free.

The tour departs from the front of Starbucks at 145 W Main St. and ends on Division Street.
