Branchburg Country Fair Has A New Date After Rain Cancellation

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Forecasted rain this weekend has caused the Branchburg Country Fair to be rescheduled.

The new date is Sunday, Oct. 22.

The festival had initially been set to be held on Sept. 23, with a rain date on Sunday, Sept. 24. Both dates were canceled, announced Township of Branchburg.

The event will be held at White Oak Park from 11 a.m. to dark, rain or shine. It will include food, kid rides, activities, attractions, live entertainment, vendors, and fireworks at 8 p.m.

This weekend, New Jersey is expected to be hit with widespread flooding from heavy rain, damaging wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour, and even the chance of an isolated tornado.

Between two and three inches of rain are forecast for the entire state.

Saturday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 56. Breezy, with a northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Sunday: Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 66. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between three-quarters and one inch possible.

Sunday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 2 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 57. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
