1 Dead In Route 22 Crash In Somerset County
All lanes have since reopened on Route 22 following a police investigation on Wednesday.
GREEN BROOK, NJ — A driver has died following a crash on Route 22 in Green Brook on Wednesday morning.
At about 5:50 a.m. on Dec. 8, a single vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole on Route 22 East, said Green Brook Police Lt. Hans Case.
Helicopters could be heard circling the crash site on Wednesday. The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, suffered significant injuries, said Case.

The driver later died. The driver's identity was not released pending notification of the family, said Case.
The right lane of the two lanes on the eastbound side was closed just west of Washington Avenue in Green Brook for a few hours due to a police investigation.
