Somerset County Freeholder Deputy Director Mark Caliguire, liaison to the county Health Department, encourages residents who were affected by Super-Storm Sandy to take a short Health & Well-being assessment.
The survey can be found at www.co.somerset.nj.us/health. Responses are requested by Friday, March 21.
“All answers will remain anonymous,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Caliguire. “We will use the survey results to identify current needs and to improve our recovery efforts for future storm events.”

The Health and Well-being assessment will focus on major issues that residents dealt with during and after the storm. Questions will address medical and mental health issues, preparedness activities and gaps in recovery services.
The data will be compiled by the Somerset County Department of Health and used in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Health to improve ongoing and future storm recovery efforts.

In 2012, Super-Storm Sandy caused unprecedented damage to New Jersey’s housing, business, infrastructure, health, social services and environmental sectors.
