Here's How Much Bridgewater-Raritan Teachers Are Paid

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The state recently released information on how much schools are paying their teachers in the state. See where Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District stacks up:

Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District teachers are the fourth highest paid in Somerset County and 139th highest in the state, according to information released by the state for the 2019-20 school year.

The school district pays teachers a median salary of $73,259, which is .15 percent less than last year where teachers made $73,371 on average.

Bridgewater-Raritan teachers also make more than the state median of $68,985, a 1.6 percent increase over last year. Overall, 232 school districts pay more than the state median.

The released information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending that was just released, showing the median salary in every New Jersey school district and charter school.

Here is the list of Somerset County school districts and charter schools, and their 2019 median teacher salaries, from highest to lowest (with the state ranking). The percentage shows the change from the previous year:

8. Somerset Co Vocational, Somerset $69,614 0.85% (218th in state)
9. Bedminster Twp, Somerset $69,045 -3.32% (231st in state)
10. Branchburg Twp, Somerset $67,601 0.82% (263rd in state)
