Hillsborough Bottle King cancelled 50 Cent's event, removed Effen Vodka from shelves after the rapper made a video mocking a man with autism

Hillsborough, NJ -- The Hillsborough Bottle King has cancelled an appearance with the rapper 50 Cent after he made a video mocking a man with autism.
The musician/actor 50 Cent, who was the spokesman for Effen Vokda, had been scheduled to appear at the Bottle King in Hillsborough on Route 206 on Saturday, May 14. After the video was made public, the company cancelled his appearance.
Additionally, Bottle King has removed all Effen Vodka products from its stores effective immediately.

"As a family owned company, we believe that respect and inclusion are the pillars in which the communities we serve are built upon," Bottle King stated in an email to customers. "The recent actions by 50 Cent are in direct contrast with those fundamental principles, and will not be tolerated by our organization."
Other liquor stores are also following Bottle King by cancelling their events with 50 Cent as well, including Gerards Wine and Spirits on Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant Boro.

Spokesmen with Effen Vodka did not return emails or social media messages to Patch asking for comment regarding the event.
