How Much Rain Fell In Somerset County? See the Latest Totals

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — The remnants of Tropical Storm Ophelia soaked some sections of Somerset County over the weekend with more in store for the week in the form of potential showers.

Warren Township got the brunt of it with observers reporting more than 4.4 inches of rain fell over the weekend.

Here's how much rain fell in Somerset County over the past 72 hours, according to the National Weather Service:

• Warren Twp - 4.46 inches
• Skillman - 3.56 inches
• Franklin Twp. - 3.35 inches
• Watchung - 3.30 inches

The wet weather is expected to continue throughout the week with rain in the forecast.

Monday: Periods of rain, mainly before 2 p.m. Patchy fog before 10 a.m. High near 63. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday Night: A chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 54. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday: A chance of showers, mainly before 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 68.

Thursday Night: A chance of showers after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
