Ice Cream Delivery Man Wins $500K In Somerset County

BRANCHBURG, NJ — An ice cream delivery man won half a million dollars from a scratch-off lottery ticket in March. He was the top winner in lottery instant games for the month of March in New Jersey.
Truck driver Steven Dougherty delivers ice cream to stores around New Jersey and during one of his stops at Nick's Mini Mart & Subs at 1010 Route 202 South in Branchburg he bought a lottery ticket for the $10 Win Fall instant game.
When he scratched the game and saw the matching numbers, he turned to another customer to make sure he was seeing it right.

Dougherty told NJ Lottery, "I will be debt free and maybe buy myself a little fishing boat. The rest will be invested for my retirement."
