Injured Senior Dog Found Wandering In Bridgewater
The senior Shih Tzu is believed to have been lost for awhile and will need surgery to repair a torn ligament in his front right leg.
BRIDGEWATR, NJ — An injured senior Shih Tzu mix was found wandering on Woodlawn Avenue in Bridgewater on Monday.
The Somerset Regional Animal Shelter believes the "quiet, sweet" dog may have been lost for awhile and have taken him directly to the vet.
The dog reportedly had a very severe dry eye and eye ulcers, ear infections, torn ligament in front right leg, one claw grew into pad. He is also very hard of hearing and has poor vision, according to SRAS.

The dog will need surgery to repair the leg.
"We are taking good care of him but need your help to find his family," SRAS stated.

The dog has no chip and no collar.
