Izzy's Infantry Hosts 5K At Duke Island To Fight Pediatric Cancer
Bridgewater-based non profit organization, Izzy's Infantry Fighting Pediatric Cancer and Spinal Trauma, is hosting its first 5K on May 18.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater-based nonprofit organization, Izzy's Infantry Fighting Pediatric Cancer and Spinal Trauma, is hosting their first Izzy's Infantry Charge Against Cancer, a 5k run/1-mile walk at Duke Island Park on May 18.
The event will also feature a kids' dash for children under 10 years old. Registration is now open, to sign up click here. Discount prices are available through March 29 and to guarantee a technical T-shirt.
The race is USATF sanctioned and the event will also honor Brain Tumor Awareness Month, which encompasses all central nervous tumors including the one Isabel "Izzy" Rita of Bridgewater has lived and continues to battle with for more than four and a half years.

As a volunteer-run, nonprofit, all the money raised goes directly toward Izzy's Infantry's mission to fund research that will lead to better treatment options and a cure for childhood cancer; fund programs and research that provide spinal cord injury rehabilitation for children; and help improve the quality of life for children in treatment and their families through programming, outreach and support groups.
