1 Lane Remains Closed After 3 Tractor Trailers Crash On I-287 In Bridgewater
All lanes have since reopened.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Three tractor-trailers crashed on Monday morning on Interstate 287 North causing closures for about 7 hours.
New Jersey State Troopers were called to a motor vehicle accident at 3:51 a.m. on I-287 North at milepost 13.2 in Bridgewater Township.
A preliminary investigation found that one tractor-trailer became immobilized on the highway when a second tractor-trailer crashed into the back of the first truck causing the second truck to overturn, said New Jersey State Police Det. Jeffrey Lebron.

A third tractor-trailer then hit the back of the overturned tractor-trailer, causing disabling damage, said Lebron.
Minor injuries were reported with one driver taken to an area hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
