JCC In Bridgewater To Host Pickleball Tournament May 2
The event benefits the JCC Sustainability Fund.

The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Bridgewater will be hosting its first Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, May 2. Check in begins at 9AM and the tournament will begin promptly at 10AM. The community is invited to participate in the Tournament which benefits The JCC Sustainability Fund.

Tournament play will be held outdoors on the JCC’s pickleball courts. The Tournament registration fee is $35/JCC Member and $40 for all other participants and includes round robin tournament play, a t-shirt and barbeque lunch. Tournament play will be held outdoors on the JCC’s pickleball courts. Players will be placed in doubles play according to pickleball levels including intermediate and intermediate/advanced. Prizes will be awarded to the top team of each level. The rain date is Sunday, May 16. Sponsorship opportunities are available. The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center is a social service agency that serves residents of all ages residing in Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties, providing fitness, recreational, social, cultural and educational programs for the entire community. The state-of-the-art facility includes an indoor salt based heated pool, outdoor salt based heated pool with dome enclosure during the off season, ADA compliant splash pad, gymnasium, newly renovated and expanded fitness center and group fitness studios, and JFitGround, an outdoor adult fitness training facility used for personal and small group training. Outdoor facilities also include basketball courts, tennis courts and pickleball courts. The JCC offers Personal Training, and group fitness classes -- both outdoors and virtually -- including Les Mills classes. The JCC offers a wide variety of adult programs including lectures, educational programs and film series. The JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center provides childcare for ages 6 weeks through full day Kindergarten and the J-Crew After School Program is open to children in Grades K- 6. Club J All Day is the JCC’s program for kids in Grades 1-4, assisting with distance learning and providing social and recreational programs. JCC Camp Ruach is the JCC’s summer day camp for children ages two years through 9th Grade. The JCC is home to the Bridgewater Tide Swim Team and Summer Swim Club featuring The Amy & Seth Geldzahler ADA compliant Splash Pad. The JCC offers a variety of special needs programs including the J-Zone Respite Program for children ages 5-16, J-Cares Adult Intern Program, J-Connects Social Programs for Adults, Adaptive Aquatics Skills Program and the Rising Tide Special Olympics Swim Team. The JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center, JCC Camp Ruach and the J-Crew After School Program work with families with children with special needs.
