JCC Camp Ruach To Hold In-Person Open House Dec. 9
The Bridgewater organization will offer savings on new registrations.

JCC Camp Ruach will be holding an in-person Open House Thursday, December 9 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM. JCC Camp Ruach is located on 14 beautiful acres at the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC), 775 Talamini Road in Bridgewater. The community is invited to attend the Open House and learn details on the upcoming camp season.

JCC Camp Ruach is offering savings of $250 off new camp registrations through December 31, 2021. Some restrictions apply. Those attending the Open House can sign-up in advance for a timed tour. Families that have decided to send their child(ren) to JCC Camp Ruach may register online at jcccampruach.org and do not need to attend the Open House in order to receive the savings.
Camp Ruach is a high-caliber, inclusive, and welcoming day camp program for campers ages two years through entering grade 9. Camp Ruach is offering eight weeks of camp June 27 – August 19, 2022, with a flexible schedule, as well as offering a post camp option August 22 – 26, 2022. Diverse programming includes instructional and free swim, art, cooking, music, athletics, archery, ropes course, STEM, dance, community service projects, and more. The JCC Camp Ruach campgrounds are ADA accessible. Camp grounds include indoor and outdoor pools and an ADA-compliant splash pad. A half-day option is available for youngest campers, and transportation is provided for the full-day program. Camp Ruach strictly adheres to all NJ State Department of Health safety and health protocols.

All campers through third grade enjoy on-site activities weekly. Tzahov, the program for 4th-6th grade campers, consists of an enriching elective program and two trips a week. Road Rulz Teen Travel for grades 7-9 offers daily and two, week-long overnight trips throughout the summer. The Sababa program for 7th - 9th grade campers offers a combination of day trips and onsite camp activities. LIT (Leadership in Training) for Grades 8 and 9 prepares campers to be counselors and leaders, offers one trip/week, and participation in a community service project.
Camp Ruach offers an inclusion program for children with Special Needs, offering one-on-one staff and individualized schedules as needed. Assessments are required prior to enrolling in the inclusion program. Post camp runs from August 22-26 with specialty camp options for Kindergarten-6th grade and specialized schedule for campers ages 3-5. Staff positions are available, and Camp Ruach offers an Internship Program for college students that is offered prior to the start of the Camp season. The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center is a social service agency that serves residents of all ages residing in Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren Counties, providing fitness, recreational, social, cultural and educational programs for the entire community. The state-of-the-art facility includes an indoor salt based heated pool (with ramp access), outdoor salt based heated pool with dome enclosure during the off season, gymnasium, fitness center, group fitness studios, and indoor and outdoor functional training areas. The JCC offers Personal Training, and group fitness classes, including Les Mills classes.
