Faryna also serves as the Varsity Cheerleading Coach for Bridgewater-Raritan High School, where she graduated from herself.

“Faryna greets students every morning on bus duty, she plays on the Crim Faculty Volleyball team (currently on a winning streak), and teaches after-school mini-courses. We all congratulate Jeanne Faryna for this honorable recognition,” stated Crim School Principal Margaret Kerr.

Growing up her entire life in Bridgewater, Faryna always knew she would become a teacher.

“I always knew I wanted to work with children even when I was younger,” Faryna said. “I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids.”

“Teaching has such a profound impact on kids because of the amount of time they spend in school and because of all the things a teacher can do to help guide students,” Faryna said.

As a special education teacher, Faryna says she particularly loves watching the children grow.

“My most favorite thing is when my students are just learning something or potentially struggling with something and they have that ah-ha moment when everything finally comes together,” Faryna said. “Their eyes light up and you can watch them have that moment and see them gain confidence from that. Knowing they can move onto a more difficult task or become more independent.”
