Join Spring Yoga at Somerset County Park Commission

10 week programs begin April 2 & 3

The Somerset County Park Commission Recreation Department has announced that registration is open for the winter session of Classic Hatha Yoga with classes for both beginners and advanced students. The low-impact program will introduce adults to the healthful benefits of Yoga and improve on existing skills for those who previously participated.

Two 10-week beginner classes are offered Tuesdays from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and Wednesdays from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. The sessions begin Tuesday, April 2 or Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Fee is $80.

The 10-week advanced beginner class is offered on Wednesdays from 7:00 P.M. to 8:15 P.M. and begins on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Fee is $100.

All sessions will take place at Somerset County Park Commission Headquarters, at North Branch Park, 355 Milltown Road in Bridgewater.

Hatha Yoga is a slow-paced stretching exercise combined with simple breathing exercises and seated meditation. It is a good opportunity to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga.

Participants are requested to wear comfortable clothing and bring a Yoga mat. Mats will be available for purchase at the first session for a fee of $25.00.

Blue “BOBO (Buy One - Bring One) Fridays” bins now are located at Somerset County Park Commission Headquarters at North Branch Park in Bridgewater. The public is invited to drop off canned food or personal-care items for donation to Somerset County food banks.
