NEW JERSEY — A federal judge tossed out a lawsuit to stop New Jersey's mail-in ballot process filed by President Donald Trump's campaign, according to multiple media reports.

In August, Gov. Phil Murphy signed legislation allowing election officials to begin counting ballots 10 days before Election Day and also count unpostmarked ballots received up to 2 days after polls close.

U.S. District Judge Michael Shipp dismissed the suit on Thursday saying that the fraud claims rest on "highly speculative fear," according to the Associated Press.
"Plaintiffs have not demonstrated a concrete, particularized and actual or imminent injury to their members' rights to vote" because of the new election rules, Shipp wrote, according to northjersey.com.

Trump's campaign has also filed lawsuits against multiple states, including Pennsylvania, Iowa and Nevada on their new voting rules, according to northjersey.com.
