Kindergarten And 1st Grade Registration For September 2015

This is an exciting time in your child’s life and we look forward to welcoming him or her into our schools. If your child will turn 5 years old on or before October 1, 2015, your child is eligible to enroll in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District kindergarten program. Our Kindergarten Schedule for 2015-2016 is a half-day program with morning and afternoon sessions. After registration, you will be notified of your child’s assigned section. If your child is assigned the morning session, it will run from 8:35 am to 11:15 am. If your child is assigned to the afternoon session, it will run from 12:15 pm- 2:55 pm.

The Kindergarten registration will take place at all Bridgewater-Raritan elementary schools on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. (In the event schools are closed for inclement weather, the alternate date will be Wednesday, January 21st). If you are not sure which school your child will attend, please call the elementary school closest to your home or our Transportation Department at 908-722-1820.

Parents/Guardians should complete paperwork in advance to expedite the registration process. In addition to the registration packet, please bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency. Forms can be printed from the school district website (www.brrsd.k12.nj.us) and are also available for pick up at any of our elementary schools. Download and complete the registration forms.

For your convenience, we have assigned registration time periods according to last name. Please check the schedule below to determine your appropriate registration time.

Kindergarten Registration time on January 14, 2015:

9:00 AM- 11:30 AM for last names A-M

12:30 PM- 2:30 PM for last names N-Z

FOR PARENTS OF STUDENTS ENTERING 1st GRADE:

If your child will turn 6 years old on or before October 1, 2015, attended a kindergarten program outside of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District and/or you intend on enrolling them in first grade for September 2015, please download and complete the registration forms and bring them with you on Thursday, January 15, 2015. (In the event schools are closed for inclement weather, the alternate date will be Thursday, January 22nd).
