Kindergarten Enrichment To Extend Learning Day For Bridgewater Kids

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Preschool Place and Kindergarten, at 594 North Bridge St. in Bridgewater, is offering Kinder Plus, an afternoon enrichment for students attending morning kindergarten at their Bridgewater-Raritan School District elementary school.

Kinder Plus will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. including lunchtime and students can attend three or five days per week. Busing from Crim and Hamilton Primary Schools is available. The Preschool Place and Kindergarten’s after-school program runs from 2:30 to 6 p.m. daily.

“Kinder Plus extends the students’ learning day and reinforces and enriches the skills taught in elementary school. Our experienced and certified kindergarten teachers build the Kinder Plus curriculum on themes including authors, artists, dinosaurs and outer space. Kinder Plus enhances the academic, creative and social development of each student and further develops the skills and knowledge students need to succeed in first grade and beyond,” said Director Carol Rubnitz.

Bridgewater parent Donna Karlis whose daughter attended Kinder Plus last year said, “I am very pleased with the Kinder Plus program. My daughter truly had a great time and learned so much! A highlight was the authors learning unit; it was a wonderful experience for the children to write and publish their own stories! My daughter was thrilled to present her work at Meet The Author’s Day and I was overjoyed to be there to listen. The teachers do an amazing job and I am thankful for everything!”
