Kindergarten, First Grade Registration Open In Bridgewater

Bridgewater, NJ -- Registration is now open for kindergarten and first grade students for September in the Bridgewater-Raritan School District.

For parents/guardians of students entering kindergarten:

If a child will be turning 5 years old on or before Oct. 1, the child is eligible to be enrolled in the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District kindergarten program.

The Kindergarten Schedule for 2016-2017 is a half-day program with morning and afternoon sessions. Children will be assigned a section. The morning session will run from 8:35 to 11:15 a.m. The afternoon session will run from 12:15 to 2:55 p.m.

For parents/guardians of students entering first grade:

If a child will turn 6 years old on or before Oct. 1 and attended an accredited kindergarten program outside of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District the child is eligible for enrollment in first grade for September 2016. Parents/guadians need to complete the online (http://tinyurl.com/pagpf55) pre-registration packet prior to Tuesday, Jan. 19.

The Kindergarten and 1st Grade registration will take place at the Harmon V. Wade Administration Building, 836 Newmans Lane, Bridgewater. Registration dates will take place Tuesday, Jan. 26 through Friday, Jan. 29.

Parents/Guardians should complete the online pre-registration packet (http://tinyurl.com/pagpf55) in advance (no later than Jan. 19) to expedite the registration process. In addition to completing the pre-registration packet, bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residency. If unable to access the online pre-registration packet from the school district website they are also available for pick up at Central Registration.

For convenience, the school has assigned registration time periods according to last name. Check the schedule below to determine the appropriate registration time.

Kindergarten and 1st grade registration time on Jan. 26:

• 9 to 11:30 a.m. for last names A-G
• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for last names H-M

Kindergarten and 1st grade registration time on Jan. 27:

• 9 to 11:30 a.m. for the last names N-S
• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for last names T-Z

Kindergarten and 1st grade registration time on Jan. 28:

• 9: to 11:30 a.m. for last names A-G
• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for last names H-M

Kindergarten and 1st grade registration time on Jan. 29:

• 9: to 11:30 a.m. for the last names N-S

• 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for last names T-Z

A child is not required to be present for registration.

• Property Tax Bill
• Signed Settlement Statement
• Mortgage Statement
• Copy of Executed Lease
• Copy of Executed Deed
• Affidavits of Domicile
