BRIDGEWATER, NJ — In anticipation for kitten season, the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter is hosting a "Kitten Shower" on Wednesday, April 17 to collect supplies and monetary donations needed for the kittens that will soon be arriving this spring.
The shower will be held from noon to 7 p.m. with a cake cutting at 5 p.m. at the shelter at 100 Commons Way in Bridgewater Township.
Shelter Manager Brian Bradshaw said with such a mild winter he expects to see many kittens arriving to the shelter any day now.

"Your generous donations will provide much needed supplies so that we can care for these precious newborns until they are ready to be placed in permanent homes," Bradshaw said.
The shelter has been preparing for their new arrivals by hosting off-site adoption events and fundraising drives at local pet stores and businesses. They have several events planned for the future such as Dining to Donate at Zinburger Bridgewater on June 6 and Annual Heart & Sole Walk planned for Oct. 13.

"With rising costs in the near future, now more than ever we need your help," said Rose Tropeano, Assistant Shelter Manager. "Without community support, we would not be able
to save as many animals as we do."
