Lady Panthers Volleyball Drop Home Game

West Windsor-Plainsboro South High School sweep Bridgewater-Raritan.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls volleyball team lost 2-0 to West Windsor-Plainsboro South High School Monday.

The BRHS girls started the games slow. Leading 17-10, West Windsor-Plainsboro made a huge play, saving the ball inches from the floor, and making the point.

The Panthers, however, responded with a flurry of service points and several kills to pull within 20-18, but the Pirates managed to hold on for a 25-18 win in Game 1. West Windsor-Plainsboro then rolled in the second game, posting a 25-9 win.

Undeterred, Bridgewater-Raritan coach Chad Romanek said his team's first two losses to start the season have been a measuring stick for the Panthers.

'These two games were a test of what we need to work on," he said. "I just need to keep the girls from being frustrated. Where we will be at the end of the season will be leaps and bounds from where we are now."
