Latest COVID Numbers In Somerset County

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Somerset County remained almost the same with a slight decrease in coronavirus cases this past week. But what is each town reporting? (See town-by-town totals below.)

The county averaged 46 new cases per day in the past week, while averaging 49 new daily cases the prior week, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.

Somerset County and most of the Garden State have "moderate" COVID activity. While four New Jersey counties now have "high" COVID activity, according to New Jersey's latest weekly report. The determination is based on metrics such as case rate, positivity rate and prevalence of COVID-like illnesses.

Somerset County officials provided the following breakdown of cases by town from Aug. 14 through Aug. 20:

• Bedminster Township - 9 cases
• Bernards Township - 21 cases
• Bernardsville Borough - 8 cases
• Bound Brook Borough - 12 cases
• Branchburg Township - 9 cases
• Bridgewater Township - 43 cases
• Far Hills Borough - 1 case
• Franklin Township - 71 cases
• Green Brook Township - 3 cases
• Hillsborough Twp - 29 cases
• Manville Borough - 7 cases
• Millstone Boro - 3 cases
• Montgomery Township - 11 cases
• North Plainfield Borough - 14 cases
• Peapack-Gladstone Borough - 3 cases
• Raritan Borough - 9 cases
• Rocky Hill Borough - 0 cases
• Somerville Borough - 22 cases
• South Bound Brook Borough - 4 cases
• Warren Township - 17 cases
• Watchung Borough - 10 cases
