Lawrence A. Friedman Receives Distinguished Service Award
Bridgewater Attorney Lawrence A. Friedman is Honored by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education
Lawrence A. Friedman, principal of FriedmanLaw in Bridgewater, New Jersey, recently received the Excellence in Continuing Legal Education Distinguished Service Award by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. NJICLE is the education arm of the New Jersey State Bar Association. The award celebrates substantial time and effort put forth by volunteer attorneys to teach their colleagues to be better lawyers. Larry was given the reward at a reception held at the New Jersey Law Center in New Brunswick for the honorees, which included several judges and attorneys.
Mr. Friedman is Certified as an Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation (recognized by the American Bar Association) and has both Master of Laws in Taxation and Juris Doctorate degrees from New York University School of Law. He also received the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Distinguished Legislative Service Award twice and is a former Chair of its Elder and Disabilities Law Section. In addition to his continuing legal education presentations for NJICLE, Larry has chaired the New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s annual Senior Citizens’ Law Day and Special Needs work shops and spoken for other organizations on elder law, special needs, wills, trusts, and estates.
