BASKING RIDGE, NJ — Basking Ridge resident Edward Wang wrote a letter in support of Jennifer Asay and Andrew McNally for Bernards Township Committee.

My family and I have lived in Bernards Township for many years. This is one of the most
beautiful and family-friendly places in America. There are many reasons why we chose to live
here. As a father of a 14 year old daughter, Bernards Township has one of the best public and
private school systems here in New Jersey. The school curriculum is diverse yet challenging and
solidly prepares my daughter for the real-world challenges ahead. My wife and I are active and
social individuals. We enjoy the company of our neighbors at township-sponsored exercise
classes such as tennis and Zumba. As an Ironman triathlete, I feel safe running and riding my
bike year-round on the beautiful and well-paved roads here in Bernards Township. In order to
keep Bernards Township one of the best family-oriented places to live, we need to have
competent and accomplished leadership. That’s why I am supporting my good friends Jennifer
Asay and Andrew McNally for the Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee
positions. Both Jennifer and Andrew will draw on their life and work experience to guide our
Township through the challenges we face.

Jennifer and I met when we were both working for the pharmaceutical company Sanofi Aventis.
Jennifer is highly intelligent, competent, and caring. She brings an MBA and 25 years of
experience from the industry to the table. For the past 9 years, she has served on our
Township’s Board of Health, which has been an integral part of our Township’s successful
response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jennifer has lived in Basking Ridge for 14 years. She’s
raising her children here and has continued to devote her time to volunteering to serve our
schools and community in many impactful ways.

Andrew is an experienced, seasoned lawyer who has provided wise counsel to both public and
private clients in areas that are important to the way our Township functions, such as utilities,
the environment, and state and local legislation. Andrew relocated to the Basking Ridge area
from Jersey City in 2015 and places a high value on the small-town feel, strong sense of
community, and plentiful open space that he and his family enjoy here.

Both Jennifer and Andrew have served together on the Township’s Planning Board since 2018
and have shown themselves to apply well-reasoned and balanced approaches to development.

Like me and many of our neighbors, Jennifer and Andrew understand what makes our
community special and are dedicated to resisting overdevelopment. They bring extensive
experience and logical reasoning to ensure that we continue to keep Bernards Township the
beautiful, safe and welcoming community that it is today.

I look forward to voting for Jennifer and Andrew in the upcoming Election Day in November. I
am confident they are the right leaders for Bernards Township.
