LGBTQ+ Advisory Board Picnic Is Thursday In Somerset County

"Bring Your Own Everything" for the second annual picnic with the Somerset County LGBTQ+ Advisory Board at Duke Island Park.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A "BYOE" meet and greet with the Somerset County LGBTQ+ Advisory Board is Thursday evening in Bridgewater.

The picnic, the advisory board's second, is July 14 from 5:30-8 p.m. at Duke Island Park, in the Apple Grove Pavilion.

"This BYOE (Bring Your Own Everything) event will give members of our community the opportunity to make connections with each other, meet members of the County Government, Departments and Boards, and find out what services are available as well as provide feedback on areas where needs may not be met," the county said.

The Somerset County LGBTQ+ Advisory board "supports diversity in Somerset County, raises public awareness, and advocates for LGBTQ+ residents by promoting justice and equality, ending oppression and inequities, ensuring that all voices in the community are heard, and fostering mutual respect among residents and its leaders."
