Library Donates 400 Pounds Of Supplies To Somerset County Food Bank
The library system donated 26 boxes of collected school supplies and non-perishable food to The Food Bank Network of Somerset County.

BOUND BROOK, NJ — More than 434 pounds of donated items from the Somerset County Library System of New Jersey will nourish both minds and bodies in the county.
The 11-branch library system collected and donated school supplies and non-perishable items to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County for community members in need. It's the 12th consecutive year the Somerset County libraries have done a donation drive, according to a news release.
Charlene Perkins and Jennifer McClean are co-chairs of the SCLSNJ's Feeding Minds and Bodies donation drive committee.

“Food bank volunteers were thrilled when the SCLSNJ van pulled into the Food Bank garage to unload the 26 boxes of collected school supplies and non-perishable food,” said Perkins. “It’s a wonderful feeling to know that SCLSNJ employees are so generous in donating to this annual drive.”
