Main Street Gourmet Deli Opens Wednesday In Somerville

Martinsville native Kevin Trimarchi, owner of the 22 West Tap & Grill located off Route 22 West, is opening his second eatery in Somerville.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Martinsville native Kevin Trimarchi, owner of the 22 West Tap & Grill located off Route 22 West is opening his new gourmet deli in Somerville on Wednesday, March 6.

"Get ready to be wowed," Trimarchi wrote on Main Street Gourmet Deli's Facebook page.

It will offer breakfast and lunch, including gourmet breakfast sandwiches, breakfast platters, gourmet lunch sandwiches, salads, wraps, grab and go items, catering and deli platters.

Trimachi noted how his sandwiches will be a step above the rest.

"I had visited two dozen delis and wasn't impressed with the sandwiches or the amount of meat you get," Trimachi said. "I am going to add plenty of meat to the sandwiches to make it worth the money."

One gourmet breakfast sandwich is called the "French Toast Egg Bomb" which has two fried eggs, choice of bacon, pork roll, or sausage, two slices of american cheese, crispy hash brown, between two pieces of their "best damn french toast" and drizzled with maple syrup.

An example of lunch offerings is the "Main Street Sandwich," which has ham, Genoa salami, Capicola, pepperoni, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, romaine lettuce, tomato, onion, balsamic dressing, on Italian bread.

He will also be serving up grilled cheeses and Paninis including the "Bacon Guacamole Grilled Cheese" which has bacon, fresh guacamole, pepper jack cheese on sourdough bread.

Hot Off the Grill Items include his 22 West Burger from his sister restaurant and the NJ Italian Hot Dog.

Breakfast will be served all day. The deli will be open Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.
