Man Found Dead Inside Somerset County Home, After Not Being Seen For Days

Nothing suspicious was found at the scene, other than the fact that the man was only 51 years old, said police.

BOUND BROOK, NJ — A Bound Brook man was found by his friends dead inside his home after not being seen for several days, said police.

On Wednesday, Oct. 27 just before 3:30 p.m., Bound Brook Police went to 211 W. Second St. on a call for a welfare check.

Policefound that a 51-year-old man, who had not been seen in several days, was found by friends in his bedroom dead, said Bound Brook Police Deputy Chief Kevin Rivenbark.

The man was pronounced by a doctor from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset upon arrival of their paramedics.

The State of New Jersey Medical Examiner’s Office was then contacted and went to the scene as is standard practice. They then took possession of the dead man, said Rivenbark.

"Nothing suspicious was found at the scene, other than the fact that he was only 51 years of age," said Rivenbark. "Due to this and lack of any known medical conditions, it is standard procedure for us to contact the ME and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office."

The cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office. Police have no criminal investigation open on this matter.
