Man Found Defecating In Alley Charged In Raritan: Blotter
Multiple arrests for driving while intoxicated, theft and possession of stolen property were also reported by Raritan Police.
RARITAN, NJ — A man was charged after police said he was found defecating in an alley, according to the latest Raritan Police Blotter.
On March 8 at 2:33 p.m., Paul Tevnan, 40, of Manville, was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction after he was found defecating in an alley behind a business on Route 206, said police.
Tevnan also had an arrest warrant that was issued by the Somerville Municipal Court. Tevnan was released and a court appearance is pending.

On March 8: An arrest warrant was issued for Gregory Caponetto, 59, of Mount Vernon, NY for theft by deception, forgery, and identity theft. The charges are the result of an investigation into an incident that occurred on Oct. 31, 2023, at Somerset Savings Bank in Raritan. The Flemington Borough Police Department helped in the investigation.

On March 8 at 9:34 p.m.: Ryan Bentancor-Martinez, 31, of Elizabeth, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 202. Martinez was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit a breath sample, reckless driving, failure to activate lighted lamps, failure to maintain lane, and no insurance. A court appearance is pending.
On March 10 at 10:34 p.m.: Dayna Egan, 42, of Stockton, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 202. Egan was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to observe a traffic signal, and failure to maintain lane. A court appearance is pending.
On March 11: Kevin Abreu, 36, of Raritan was charged with possession of stolen property as a result of theft investigation. On Feb. 23, patrol officers spoke with a Readington resident who reported her phone had been stolen at a local hospital and it was tracking to a residence on Thompson Street in Raritan. Officers located Abreu at the residence and found him in possession of the cell phone. A court appearance is pending.
On March 13 at 11:11 p.m.: Rajeev Devgan, 51, of Bridgewater, was arrested for driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on Route 28. Devgan was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, delaying traffic, failure to maintain lane, and no insurance. A court appearance is pending.
