Man Showed Porn, Masturbated In Front Of 12-Year-Old In Somerset County: Prosecutor

MANVILLE, NJ — Following an almost year-long investigation, a Somerville man was arrested after police say he showed porn to a 12-year-old and masturbated in front of her, announced Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald.

Isaias Vielma-Hernandez, 38, of Somerville, was charged with second-degree sexual assault by sexual contact, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and third-degree obscenity.

In April 2025, a 12-year-old girl, who is a Manville resident, was interviewed by authorities, where she said that Vielma-Hernandez showed her pornographic images and videos on his cellphone and on one occasion masturbated in front of her.

The victim said this happened from January 2025 to April 2025.

On April 17, 2025, a Superior Court search warrant was executed at Vielma-Hernandez’s home in Somerville, and his cellphone was seized.

On Jan. 9, 2026, this ongoing investigation resulted in the arrest of Vielma-Hernandez without incident in Bedminster Township.

Vielma-Hernandez was taken to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office where he was processed on the charges. He was lodged in the Somerset County Jail and later released, pending a court date on this matter.

McDonald thanked members of the New Jersey State Police for their help in this investigation.
