Mayor Hayes Invites All Residents To Join In A Community Bicycle Ride To The Eco-Blast Fair
Residents will have the opportunity to bike with Mayor Hayes from the Bridgewater Senior Citizens Center at 455 Somerville Road to Kid Street Park, 100 Commons Way, to participate in a "Eco-Ride" to the Township Eco-Blast Fair on Saturday, May 3rd 2014. The bicycle brigade will be accompanied by an emergency vehicle escort. A return van shuttle will be available from the Eco-Blast Fair to vehicles parked at the Senior Citizens Center.
To be eligible cyclists must be 18 years of age or older or accompanied by a parent or adult. Cyclists are responsible for providing their own bicycle and other equipment including a bicycle lock or recommended helmet. Cyclists must pre-register for the "Eco-Ride" with Bridgewater Township prior to the bike ride or at the Senior Citizens Center the day of the event. The "Eco-Ride" is scheduled to start between 10:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Arrival will be timed to kick-off the opening of the Eco-Blast Fair. Efinger's will serve as a sponsor for the event with free bicycle safety checks along with Rock 'n Ride and Somerset County Ridewise.
Registration forms are available at the Bridgewater Township Department of Human Services and the Township Division of Recreation located at 100 Commons Way, Bridgewater.
