"Lorena crushed it at the Meet of Champions," Adam Pyle, the Bridgewater-Raritan girls’ cross-country coach said. "Her time of 20:06 was a 44-second improvement from when she raced
at Holmdel in the Shore Coaches meet back on Oct. 1. Not too shabby for her first cross-
country season."

The individual state boys’ champion was Rahway High School’s Micah Lawson, who cruised to
a time of 15:33, and the winner of the girls’ state race was Emma Zawatski of Freehold
Township High School, who crossed in 18:38.
